Class Descriptions
Throughout class time, each class has a circle time, story, snack, free choice time, an art activity and outside time. During free choice time students are guided through an art project, choose from activities such as toys, puzzles, blocks, games, dress-up, painting easel, sensory tables, play dough, crafting, and pretend kitchen. Outside time includes climbing structures, imaginative play, a sandbox and more. There are endless ways to have fun on our spacious playground!
Working parents or caregivers have assigned duties such as bringing and serving a snack, assisting with art projects and helping students engage in positive play with their peers.

Infant Class
Mondays 9:00-9:45am
Our Infant class is for learners aged 0-12 months old and their caregiver. The Infants class is held once a week for 45 minutes. This class features a calm, open environment that encourages natural movement, play, and interaction with objects and other children. This class will provide the opportunity for you to slow down and connect with your baby as well as other caregivers as we learn and share experiences about parenting young children. Music time will introduce songs, movement, and rhymes to further cognitive development.

Tots Class
Mondays 10:15-11:15am
Our Tots class is for learners aged 12-24 months old and their caregiver. The Tots class is held once a week for 60 minutes. Children are encouraged to lead their own discoveries as they explore the classroom filled with engaging play objects, sensory and art experiences, books, and more. We will join together during music time to introduce songs, movement, rhymes, and routines through repetition. A connected community will be created when you join together with other families in this class!

2's Class
Tuesday / Thursday, 9:30 – 11:00am
The 2’s class is led by Teacher Debbie and meets twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. For the four classes, a parent remains in class to play with their child, model classroom behavior and ease the transition into a school setting. As the child exhibits an ability to cope on his own without the caregiver (at Teacher’s discretion), the caregiver may leave the child for the duration of class, picking them up at 11 am.Families rotate turns working in the classroom. With a full class of 12 students, three parents or caregivers work alongside Teacher helping the children engage in positive play, assist with art projects, and clean the facility. Each family will work about two times per month. In the 2’s class. Caregivers are always welcome to remain in the class, even if they are not assigned to work in the classroom that day.
Children must be age 2 before September 1.

3's Class
Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday, 9:30 – 11:30am
The 3’s class is led by Teacher Nicole and meets Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings. Families rotate turns working in the classroom. With a full class of 15, each family will work about three classes per month, and three parents or caregivers will work in each class. The working caregivers assist Teacher by helping the children engage in positive play, providing a nutritious snack, assisting with art projects, and cleaning the facilities used that day.Children must be age 3 before September 1.

Pre-K Class
Monday – Friday, 11:45am – 2:45pm
The Pre-K class is led by Teacher Carly. Families rotate turns working the classroom, three parents or caregivers at a time, each family will work about three to four classes per month. Working caregivers assist Teacher by helping the children engage in positive play, providing a nutritious snack, assisting with art projects, and cleaning the facilities used that day. Pre K Class begin working on letter recognition and writing and have lunch in class one day a week.Children must be age 4 before September 1.
*If your child turns 5 before September 1, you may register for kindergarten through Tacoma Public Schools (age guidelines vary in private schools, so check with your favorite educator).
